It seems as though every tuner and their cousin has gotten their hands on a new generation Porsche Cayenne in order to do some sort of modification to it. Sportec is no different and, alongside their SPR1 FL in Geneva, the Swiss tuner is also displaying the SP580 package for the SUV. Sportec clearly focused on power updates for both vehicles because, other than a few exterior mods, the engines were the only components given impressive updates.
Starting off with the easiest part of the project, Sportec is offering customers a new set of 22-inch Sportec Mono/7 forged wheels in a dark charcoal finish and an electronic suspension control module that can lower the Cayenne by up to 30 mm. That’s all folks.
More time was taken under the hood as the tuner put in a Motronic system that adds an extra 80 HP and a 74 lbs-ft of torque to the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 300 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 295 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,000 rpm. For those non-math majors, that takes the Cayenne to 380hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The package also includes a new free-flow stainless steel exhaust system with quad 90 mm tailpipes.
