During its annual press conference, Audi has offered a series of very good news for the US market. Next to the current diesel engines offered for the A3 and the Q7, diesel engines will also be offered for the A6, A8, and Q5. The A4 will get a diesel engine starting 2014-2015 when the next generation will be released. However, the best news is that an R8 E-tron is expected to arrive in America in 2013.
"Revenue for the past year reached around EUR 35.4 billion. It was therefore 18.8 percent up on the 2009 figure. The operating profit was EUR 3.34 billion, an increase of 108 percent. Profit before tax was EUR 3.6 billion, 88.5 percent up on the previous year – a record for our company. And with an operating return on sales of 9.4 percent we are right at the sharp end of the premium segment."
"The economy also performed well in the United States and, despite initially weak consumer and labor market data, gradually returned to the growth path of previous years with a 2.9 percent rise in economic output."
